Mobile Gateway SyncML Clients for Device Manufacturers
Not all mobile handset manufacturers support the industry standards for synchronization with their handset software.
Synchronica have extended the reach of its Mobile Gateway solution to offer data synchronization to major handset groups which do not support these standards. These handsets include Palm OS-based and Windows Mobile-based devices.
Synchronica also provide a PC-based synchronization solution for Outlook, Outlook Express, and Windows Mail allowing PIM information to be synchronized remotely when the PC is not directly connected to the corporate mail server.
Support for these devices is provided using client applications which are available in the Mobile Gateway service and can be downloaded directly to the device or using a PC.
Synchronization Client for Palm OS
The Synchronica client for Palm OS-based smartphones including the Treo 680 and Treo 700p, allows these handsets to connect to the Synchronica Mobile Gateway using the OMA DS (SyncML) industry standard. This provides users the ability to synchronize email, calendar, contacts and tasks information between their Palm device and a compatible business email service (Microsoft Exchange, IBM Lotus Domino and Sun Java System Communications Suite).
Customers using an ISP email service can also use the client to connect to Mobile Gateway and have email delivered to their mobile phone.
Synchronization Client for Windows Mobile
The Synchronica client for Windows Mobile-based handsets allows these handsets to connect to the Synchronica Mobile Gateway using the OMS DS (SyncML) industry standard. This provides users the ability to synchronize email, calendar, contacts and tasks information between their Windows Mobile device and a compatible business email service (Microsoft Exchange, IBM Lotus Domino and Sun Java System Communications Suite).
Customers using an ISP email service can also use the client to connect to Mobile Gateway and have email delivered to their mobile phone.
Supported Windows Mobile operating system versions include 2003 Second Edition, Windows Mobile 5.0 and Windows Mobile 6.0 for both Pocket PCs and smartphones.

For users who frequently work remotely and do not have a direct connection to their business email server, the Synchronica Mobile Gateway provides a PC-based synchronization client that synchronizes contacts, calendar, and tasks between the Outlook, Outlook Express, or Windows Mail on the PC and the business email system (Microsoft Exchange, IBM Lotus Domino and Sun Java System Communications Suite).
