Simple Mail Enables Email on Basic Phones

Carsten Brinkschulte's GBP 3.7 million turnover firm Synchronica licenses white label email software to mobile phone manufacturers and networks in some pretty challenging territories: Nigeria, the Sudan, the Czech Republic, and India. "Very few PCs in developing countries have broadband or fixed-line internet", he says. "But everyone has a mobile phone. Nearly 60 percent of all mobile phone users live in emerging markets. It's the primary tool for accessing the net in these places."
