DAT establishes subsidiary in Hungary

Ostfildern / Budapest (August 6, 2013): On 29 July 2013 the German Automobil Treuhand GmbH (DAT) has signed the contracts to establish a new subsidiary in Hungary. DAT Hungary has its headquarters in Budapest and will operate from there with a team of highly qualified employees.

“For the Hungarian economy, the automobile industry is of significant importance, as some of the major European auto dealer groups are represented in Hungary. Also the connections to Germany are traditionally very good, manufacturers like Suzuki produce alongside with the premium manufacturers Audi and Daimler in Hungarian automotive plants”, says László Gergely, CEO of DAT Hungary.

Starting in September 2013 all dealerships, body shops, insurance companies and experts can rely on the proven DAT products in Hungary. In addition to the core product of the damage calculation also SilverDAT myClaim, the new communication platform to transmit and check damage operations, is offered to customers. The software architecture of the Hungarian version is already running on the new web-based technology of the next generation of SilverDAT. The precise identification of vehicles via VIN request is also integrated. Of course SilverDAT is available in the Hungarian national language; all values are based on the local currency Forint.

“We are very pleased to offer the Hungarian market from September on a real alternative to the existing systems. In the very near future we will also provide our car valuation,” says Helmut Eifert, managing director of Deutsche Automobil Treuhand and responsible for the international activities of DAT.
