Ostfildern / Beijing (21 April 2015) - The German Automobil Treuhand GmbH (DAT) has founded a second subsidiary in Asia. After starting in Hong Kong in the fall of 2014, the headquarters of the DAT China has now been set up in the center of Beijing, which operates under the name "Beijing DAT Information Technology Ltd '.
"The Chinese automotive market is experiencing a significant shift. We are currently seeing a strong growth in cars and service business, "said Helmut Eifert, DAT Managing Director Foreign Countries. "This is a challenge that we can successfully meet with our data and systems for the automotive industry. The time to start there with our systems is perfect".
"Chinese car buyers of the middle-income classes are still interested in new vehicles, but due to the availability of high-quality young used cars this market increases particularly in the premium segment. In addition, the vehicle population in China causes an increasing number of repairs and insurance-related injury cases that need to be handled by automotive companies," adds Li Wei, Vice-Chairman of the DAT China.
In autumn 2014 the subsidiary in Hong Kong has been founded. "For the activities in mainland China, we will establish a standard for damage calculation and offer reliable used vehicle values and forecasts with our local partners," says Eifert. "The production of Chinese SilverDAT will take place in China - always in close cooperation with our specialists in the German headquarters. Thus we can guarantee our DAT expertise for the Chinese products. "
The first products will be the VIN request, the claims management system SilverDAT myclaimPRO and the new generation of repairs costing SilverDAT calculatePRO.
