Ostfildern / Nieuwegein (4. April 2013): The Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH (DAT) is continuing its expansion with a new subsidiary in the Netherlands. "In line with the strategic reorientation of the DAT, we are strengthening our international business, and the Netherlands offer a highly attractive market with a for us interesting potential." says Helmut Eifert, managing director of Deutsche Automobil Treuhand and responsible for the international activities of DAT. Together with the joint-venture partner VWE, vehicle identification via VIN-request and repair cost calculation will be the first features to be introduced to the market. "Our core product, SilverDAT3, will offer excellent data to our customers for their day-to-day business." explains Joop van de Meulenreek,CEO of DAT Nederland.
Michel Corveleijn MBA, CEO of VWE, continues: "We are excited about the VWE and the DAT teaming up to support the Dutch automotive industry. With the start of DAT Nederland, we can offer suitable alternatives in the field of damage assessment."
VWE has been on the market since 1975, and its status as a service provider on vehicle information and -data makes it an ideal partner for the DAT. The merging of the two company's databases will enable the development of completely new products, which will really be of additional value to the Dutch automotive industry. The impulses from the Netherlands can benefit the entire product spectrum of the DAT Group." say Dr. Thilo Wagner, CEO of the DAT and responsible for the products.
The new company operates under the name "DAT Nederland", and sits in Nieuwegein, in the province Utrecht, south of Amsterdam. Customers of DAT Nederland include dealerships, workshops, experts and insurance companies. "The start of DAT-Nederland enables us to provide our Dutch customers with high-quality solutions, making us a real alternative to other existing providers. This is what the industry has been waiting for." concludes Helmut Eifert.
